What can you actually make?
Doors and drawer fronts to whatever size you give us, in sixteenth-of-an-inch increments, from 5 by 8 inches up to 49 by 96. Drawer fronts go down to 5 by 5. There is a two square foot minimum per door, so a very small door is built at its size and billed at the minimum.
Three families: inset panel, which covers shaker and every other flat-panel style, raised panel, and thermofoil. All eleven species and paint grades are available on every profile — there is no style that limits you to a shorter list, which matters when a client has chosen a timber and a profile independently of each other.
Glass frames and French Lite versions exist across most styles. They ship cut and rebated for glass, without the glass.
How does ordering work?
Through the ordering system on any product page. You pick the style, the species and the boring, type in the width and height of each piece, and the price for that piece appears as you go.
There is no quote request standing between you and a number, which is the part worth knowing if you are pricing a job this afternoon. You can price a whole kitchen yourself in the time it would take to write an enquiry email.
What do you need from me?
Per piece: width, height, style, species, and the boring. That is it.
What we do not need is a drawing, a cut list file, or a phone call to walk through it. Everything goes in the form. If you are used to suppliers who want a PDF and then come back with questions, this is a shorter loop than you are expecting.
The one thing worth doing before you start is deciding your overlay and your boring, because those are decisions rather than measurements and they are easier made once for the job than eleven times at a keyboard.
Can you bore for my hinges?
Yes, three ways, and you choose per order:
- Bored for press-in hinges — the 35mm cup plus two 8mm dowel holes for the lugs.
- Bored for screw-in hinges — the cup alone, hinge screwed to the door face.
- Blank — no boring at all, if you are doing your own.
Our standard cup is 35mm across, 13mm deep, set 3mm in from the edge of the door. We recommend Blum and Salice and do not push one over the other. Nothing changes for thermofoil — the MDF core takes the same boring as timber, and machines more predictably than a board with grain in it.
How long does it take?
About two weeks from order to shipped, and that is every family, including thermofoil. Nothing is held in stock because nothing is a stock size.
Two weeks is the number to build into a schedule, not a best case. The things that move it are on your side rather than ours: a finish changed after the order is placed, or sizes that arrive in three batches.
Do you do trade pricing?
There is a standing trade arrangement for shops, contractors and designers. It is worth a conversation rather than a form, because what makes sense depends on how you order rather than on a single figure — a shop placing a small order every week and a builder placing one large order a quarter are different situations.
Get in touch and it can be set up before your first order rather than applied retrospectively to it.
What happens if a door is wrong?
If we got it wrong, we remake it. If the measurement was wrong, these are made to size and cannot be resold, so it becomes a new door — and that is worth being straight about rather than burying.
For what it is worth from this side of the bench: in five years we have got a size wrong twice.
The practical protection on a large job is to order one spare of anything awkward — an odd size, an end panel, a door on a run you are less sure about. It costs a fraction of the order and it is the difference between a five-minute fix and a two-week hole in your schedule.
What about glass doors?
Most styles are available as a glass frame, and there are French Lite versions with divided lites across the ranges. They arrive cut and rebated ready for glass, without the glass itself.
That is deliberate rather than a gap. Glass is the one component that is cheaper, faster and far less risky sourced locally — a glazier down the road cuts to the rebate and fits it for a fraction of what shipping glass across the country costs, and nothing arrives broken. Ask them to cut to the rebate rather than to a drawing.
For a shop this is usually welcome, because you already have a glazier and a relationship. It is worth flagging to a client early though: a glass-front cabinet has a second trade in it, and a homeowner who was not told that reads the missing glass as an omission rather than a choice.
What are the limits worth knowing?
Three, and they are all easier to know now than after a client has approved a drawing.
A door 50 inches or taller takes a centre rail. That is structural rather than stylistic, so design it in rather than being told.
Above 24 inches wide or 60 inches tall we do not warrant a door against warping or twisting. We will still make it — large is your call, not a rule — but the warranty stops there and a client should know that before they choose a full-height pantry door in a wide single leaf.
And everything is made after you order, which is why there are no minimums and also why there is no next-day option.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum order for trade?
No. One door and a hundred doors go through the same process, because nothing is stocked and everything is made to the sizes you give. That makes it practical to use us for a single replacement on a job you finished two years ago.
Can you match a door I already have?
Usually. Send photographs — one straight on and one at a shallow angle so the light rakes across the profile — along with the sizes and the boring. The profile is far easier to identify from a photograph than to name.
Do you supply the hinges as well?
We carry Blum and Salice hardware alongside the doors, so a set can arrive together rather than from two suppliers on two schedules.
Can I order doors and drawer fronts in the same order?
Yes, and you should. Ordering them together means they come from the same material in the same run, which matters on a stained finish where two batches can differ slightly.
What if I need to add to an order after placing it?
Get in touch quickly. Before the order goes into production it can usually be added to; afterwards it becomes a second order on its own two-week clock.
